Installed in the ancient monastery of the Capucins, the Apothicary’s stayed open till 1942 and is wellpreserved. The large woodworks vaulted and trompe l’oeil room shelters a collection of pots dating from the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries, 4 huge treacle pots dating from the 18th century and 2 remarkable cylindrical pots decorated with bust and chests. The hospital dispensary shelters around 400 pots dating from the 18th and 19th centuries: pill pots, glass and china pots… The second room, called preparation room, contains an important collection of pewter. |
